Three schools in Florida were placed under lockdown after officials received a tip on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The three schools are in the Escambia County School District in Pensacola.
The schools are Washington High School, Workman Middle School, and Holm Elementary School.
The exact nature of the threat wasn’t conveyed.
The lockdown comes six days after a school shooting in Florida.
The shooting at a high school in Parkland left 17 students and teachers dead.
Schools across the nation are on higher alert than normal after the shooting on Feb. 14.
The lockdown by the Escambia County School District comes just a day after a SnapChat threat was investigated.
Officials are terming such threats as “copycat” threats following the Parkland shooting.
