San Diego County Flu Cases Increase, But Below Five-Year Average

SAN DIEGO—The number of San Diegans testing positive for influenza increased by 34 percent over the previous week, but cumulative case numbers are still fewer than the five-year average, the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported Dec. 22.

For the week ending Saturday, a total of 191 lab-confirmed flu cases were reported in the region, compared to the prior week when 143 influenza infections were identified.
