Rubio Says US Ready to Send Humanitarian Aid to Hurricane-Hit Cuba

Hurricane Melissa made landfall on the island’s eastern end as a Category 3 storm.

The United States is prepared to send humanitarian assistance to Cuba in support of hurricane recovery efforts, said Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“In the wake of Hurricane Melissa’s devastation of eastern Cuba, the Trump administration stands with the brave Cuban people who continue to struggle to meet basic needs,” he stated on X on Oct. 30.
