WASHINGTON—Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-Ala.) plans to introduce a resolution on the floor of the House of Representatives that directs three of the chamber’s committees to begin investigations of financial dealings in China and Ukraine by former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

The Alabama congressman’s resolution was made public Oct. 14, and it directs the three panels as follows:
