A pro-President Donald Trump super PAC plans to run advertisements thanking Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.) for switching from the Democratic party to the Republican party.
Van Drew, a first-term Congressman, announced the change on Dec. 19 after meeting with Trump and other Republican leaders. He cited the leftward tilt of the Democratic party as a reason, decrying socialism and describing himself as a capitalist.
