By a greater margin than that recorded in 2016, Democrats are more outspoken than Republicans and unaffiliated voters in 2018 about how they intend to vote in the 2018 congressional election, suggesting the possibility of another Election Day red wave driven by the so-called “silent majority,” according to a Nov. 2 poll by Rasmussen Reports.
In 2018, 60 percent of Democrats said they were more likely to tell others about how they intend to vote, compared to 49 percent Republicans. The 11-point gap is nearly double that recorded in 2016 when 52 percent of Democrats and 46 percent of Republicans said they were more likely to inform others of their voting intentions.
