Police Shoot Suspect Accused of Ramming Long Beach Officers in Montebello

MONTEBELLO, Calif.—A 33 year old man suspected of shooting a woman was shot by police after allegedly ramming a pair of Long Beach police vehicles while trying to elude detectives in Montebello and taken into custody, and police are continuing to investigate Nov. 1.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, detectives were in the 700 block of Via Altamira, near Garfield Av., around noon Oct. 31 conducting surveillance and attempting to serve a search warrant concerning a shooting that occurred in Long Beach on Sept. 25, when the suspect allegedly shot a female victim in the 6000 block of Olive Av., near Atlantic Av.
