Pilot Escapes With Minor Injuries After Small Plane Crashes at Long Beach Airport

A small plane crashed into the roof of a hangar at Long Beach Airport on July 10, but the pilot managed to escape with only minor injuries.

According to a Long Beach Fire Department spokesman, crews were dispatched at 2:18 p.m. to the 2900 block of East Spring Street on a report of a single-engine aircraft that crashed into the roof of a hangar. Video from the scene showed the small plane propped upright, sticking out of the hangar roof.
