Camera footage captured a man standing while holding a large American flag during the motorcade escort path for a deputy who was slain on Sunday, Dec. 31.
Five deputies were shot, one of them killed, in a shootout in Denver, Colorado, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
