Phoenix Police Commander Killed, 2 Others Wounded in Shooting

A Phoenix police commander was killed and two other officers were wounded on the night of March 29 as they responded to calls about a dispute between roommates.

Cmdr. Greg Carnicle, a veteran officer and father of four, was killed. The other officers, both women, were hospitalized, the department said.
