LOS ANGELES—Firefighters found the remains of a person Dec. 3 after knocking down a fire that encompassed a primary home and two back houses in the Sylmar neighborhood, where they reported heavy ammunition being “cooked off.”

Crews dispatched at 5:36 a.m. to 13755 N. Glenoaks Blvd. and had the greater alarm blaze out at 5:59 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
