Despite the $1.6 billion in federal funding for Pennsylvania bridges announced January by U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Pennsylvania says it needs more money to fix bridges. Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf is moving forward with his plan to toll nine bridges.

The move has been challenged in Commonwealth Court by municipalities near proposed tolling locations, including South Fayette Township, Collier Township, and Bridgeville Borough in Allegheny County. Berks County has joined the suit.
