Orange County DA Warns Against Scams, Price Gouging During CCP Virus Pandemic

SANTA ANA, Calif. (CNS) - Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer warned residents on April 9 about price gouging during the CCP virus pandemic, but also said to watch for child or elder abuse as reports of such crimes have dipped dramatically during mandated social distancing.

In Orange County, cases of elder abuse have fallen by 68 percent and child abuse reports have plummeted 45 percent, Spitzer said at an afternoon news conference.
