Congresswoman Michelle Steel says she’ll make alleviating California’s jammed-up highways a priority through her role on the U.S. House of Representative’s Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Steel, who represents California’s 48th district, was among 10 new Republican members named to the committee Jan. 25.
