A Georgia police officer is recovering after being shot when off-duty by two men who tried to rob him, said police.
The South Fulton officer was with another officer as they left a local hookah lounge and headed to their vehicles at around 5:00 a.m. on Sept. 1. It happened on the 100th block of John Wesley Dobbs Avenue in northeast Atlanta, said Atlanta police spokesperson Jarius Daugherty, according to AJC.com.
