Off-Duty Officer Shoots Man During Road Rage Altercation in Wawayanda, Police Say

The shooting took place close to the Dolson Avenue commercial centers in Middletown.

WAWAYANDA, N.Y.—A Middletown man is in critical condition after being shot by an off-duty Kingston police officer during an apparent road rage incident, New York State Police say.

Officers from the New York State Police Middletown barracks responded to the Dec. 11 shooting at about 3:45 p.m. on Dolsontown Road near the intersection with McVeigh Road.
