Celebrated hip-hop artist Nicki Minaj revealed on Jan. 28 she received a Trump Gold Card, which fast-tracks a person’s legal residency and citizenship, after a ceremony praising the president.
The gold card is the size of a credit card with President Donald Trump’s image and signature on the front next to the Statue of Liberty.
She later wrote on X she was finalizing her citizenship paperwork.
The songwriter, also known as the “Queen of Rap,” joined Trump at a summit to launch his investment accounts for children earlier in the day.
“I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan,” Minaj told the audience. “And that’s not going to change. The hate, or what people have to say, does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.
“He has a lot of force behind him. God is protecting him,” she said.
Minaj, 43, is a Trinidadian American who was born in Port of Spain. She has citizenship in Trinidad and Tobago, and moved to New York City when she was 5.
The Trump administration is offering the Gold Card for a $15,000 processing fee paid to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and a $1 million contribution. In exchange, foreigners who want to enter the United States can receive expedited residency, according to the administration.
Trump is also planning to offer a Trump Platinum Card to foreign nationals for a $5 million contribution and $15,000 processing fee. Applicants can spend up to 270 days in the United States without being subject to taxes on non-U.S. income with the program.

Trump said last month he expected to take in billions of dollars that would go directly to the treasury.
The program is open to individuals and businesses that want to hire foreign employees, according to the president.
The Trump Corporate Gold Card will allow businesses to transfer access from one employee and grant it to another with a small transfer fee.
