The mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie is dead, according to a purported ransom note cited by several news outlets on June 22.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, died after being kidnapped, according to a note received by KOLD-TV. The note was received shortly after Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in Catalina Foothills, Arizona, on Feb. 1.
