New York has been hit with a spate of violent crime this holiday season ranging from multiple shootings and an attempted rape, to terrorizing apartment residents with a sword and threatening subway passengers, according to recent reports from the NYPD.
According to figures given to Fox News on Monday by the New York Police Department (NYPD), there were 17 incidents of shootings and 21 shooting victims reported from Friday through Sunday. There were also five homicides reported. Last year, during the same period, there were zero incidents of homicides and 14 shootings with 16 victims.
