New Disney Board Eliminates Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs

Officials said enforcement of minority and women contracting requirements had cost taxpayers millions of dollars.

The new district board overseeing Disney World in Florida has eliminated its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs, including a DEI board.

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, which took over government administration of Disney World and its surroundings in February, said enforcement of minority and women contracting requirements had cost taxpayers millions of dollars.
