New California Law Makes Spreading Vote-By-Mail Misinformation a Crime

LOS ANGELES (CNS)—A newly signed state law authored by a Southland legislator makes spreading misinformation about voting by mail a misdemeanor criminal offense.
Senate Bill 739 (SB 739) was signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sept. 18 and took effect immediately as an urgency measure.
