NBC News Executives continue to push back against calls for an independent probe by outside investigators into sexual misconduct at the network, Fox reports, opting instead for an internal review that they themselves are overseeing.

Ten days after former Today co-host Matt Lauer was fired amidst allegations of sexual misconduct in the workplace, NBC News Chairman Andy Lack circulated a memo to staff on Friday, Dec. 8, detailing an NBC review to determine “why this was able to happen, why it wasn’t reported sooner, and what we can do to make employees feel more empowered to report unacceptable behavior.”
