Tech billionaire Elon Musk said that he believes that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which he led until last week, became a “whipping boy” in Washington and indicated that some of the criticism lodged at the task force was unfair.

Last week, as Musk’s time as a special government employee in the Trump administration came to an end, he held a joint news conference with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office to discuss his next plans.
