One victim was shot in the head and is in critical condition, reported local media Pix 11. Another other two victims are reported to be in a stable condition, but each suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
This shooting comes just hours after a lone terrorist, now identified as Sayfullo Saipov, 29, mounted a vehicle attack, killing at least eight people on a bike path in lower Manhattan. At least 11 more unsuspecting cyclists and pedestrians were injured.
After the attack, Saipov jumped out of the vehicle and shouted “Allahu Akbar”–Arabic for “Allah is the greatest,” a line shouted out by terrorists when carrying out an attack on innocents.
Saipov had rented the utility vehicle from a Home Depot in Passaic, New Jersey, around 2pm local time. The attack took place at 3:05 p.m.
Saipov is an Uzbek national and immigrated to the United States in 2010.

According to their country’s foreign ministers, five Argentines and a Belgian were among the 8 fatalities of the Manhattan attack.
