Federal health officials said Thursday that seven more illnesses and two deaths were reported in connection with a multi-state Listeria monocytogenes bacterial outbreak tied to recalled pasta salads that were sold at several major retailers nationwide.
The products were sold at major grocery store chains, including Trader Joe’s, Kroger, Giant Eagle, Albertsons, and others.
Hospitalizations, Deaths Reported
A notice released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday said that the CDC and other health agencies detected seven new illnesses in three states in connection with the recalled products, with two additional deaths confirmed, since the last update on Sept. 25.
