Future First Lady Melania Trump will not be attending a meeting with President-elect Donald Trump and President Joe Biden on Wednesday, her office confirmed, with the White House confirming that first lady Jill Biden gave the president-elect a handwritten letter intended for Melania.

“Mrs. Trump will not be attending today’s meeting at the White House. Her husband’s return to the Oval Office to commence the transition process is encouraging, and she wishes him great success,” her office said in a statement.
