McCarthy Rebuffs Effort to Remove Cheney From Leadership Team Over Impeachment Vote

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) is not backing the effort to remove Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from the GOP’s House Conference.

President Donald Trump supporters want Cheney to resign or be removed from her position as conference chair because she voted with Democrats and nine other Republicans to impeach Trump on Wednesday.
