HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.—A man was stabbed at a hotel in Huntington Beach, and his alleged attacker was in custody April 13, police said.

The crime occurred about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at an Extended Stay America in the 5000 block of Skylab Road Circle, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department and reports from the scene.

Glenn Wright, 38, of Huntington Beach was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and drug-related offenses, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, and was expected to survive, police said.

According to police, Wright and the wounded man knew one another, and the crime was regarded by investigators as an isolated incident, with no threat to the community and no other suspects being sought.
