A shooting March 6 in Anaheim has led to the hospitalization of one adult male, police said.

Around 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on the 1100 block of N. East Street, north of La Palma Avenue, where a man was found with at least one gunshot wound, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Jon McClintock.

Additional details were not available.

McClintock said the cause of the shooting is unknown and an investigation is ongoing.

The victim, who has not been identified, was in surgery last night and is expected to survive, authorities said.
