A New York man was sentenced to five years in prison on Nov. 21 for leaving threatening voicemails for two members of Congress, both Republicans.
House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.)—who was shot by a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in 2017—and Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) received the angry voicemails.
