SAN DIEGO—A man who shot and wounded a San Diego police officer following a car chase in a stolen vehicle was sentenced Friday to 47 years to life in prison.
Andrew Joseph Garcia, 22, pleaded guilty to attempted murder on a peace officer and other charges for the Dec. 12, 2022, shooting of Officer Javier Hernandez.
