Man Gets Life Without Parole For 2021 Drive-By Shooting in San Diego

SAN DIEGO—A man convicted of carrying out a deadly drive-by shooting in the Mount Hope neighborhood was sentenced last week to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Anthony Goodrich Austin Jr., 44, was found guilty by a San Diego jury of first-degree murder and a special circumstance allegation of firing a gun from a vehicle in connection with the Aug. 30, 2021, shooting of Arthur Williams.
