SANTA ANA, Calif.—A 32-year-old man pleaded guilty Sept. 29 and was immediately sentenced to 10 years in prison for raping two women in Anaheim while they were passed out from drinking.

Juan Carlo Cordoba pleaded guilty to single felony counts each of rape by use of drugs, rape of an unconscious person, and assault with the intent to commit a sex offense. As part of the plea deal, two counts each of assault with the intent to commit a sex offense, rape by use of drugs, and rape of an unconscious person were dismissed.

Mr. Cordoba sexually assaulted the women who were passed out from drinking on Aug. 21, 2019, according to the police.

He had been partying with the two and attacked them in one of the victims’ apartment in Anaheim, police said.

One woman was 25 and the other was 23 years old at the time, police said.

Cordoba has been in custody since his arrest on Oct. 23, 2019.
