A man driving a black Alfa Romeo was forced off the road by a group of masked men and robbed on the side of an interstate during daylight hours in Los Angeles.

Other motorists took videos of the robbery as it unfolded at about 1:30 p.m. Oct. 24.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the robbery and have not yet identified any suspects.

“At this time, the investigation is in its preliminary stages, and no one has been arrested,” Sgt. Alejandro Rubio told The Epoch Times in an email Thursday.

According to the CHP, the victim was driving his car along Interstate 10, also known as the Santa Monica Freeway, in the Mid-City area west of the Arlington Avenue exit.

A black Dodge Caravan with four men wearing ski masks intentionally crashed into the victim’s car, disabling it and sending it off the interstate and onto the shoulder.

Videos posted on social media by passersby show the victim kneeling beside his car with his hands up as the suspects robbed him.

Although initial reports said the suspects had a firearm, officers determined after further investigation they were armed with a hammer and crowbar.

A Ford Mustang was also struck during the assault, police said.

The suspects then fled the scene in an awaiting white-colored Chevrolet Malibu, leaving the Dodge Caravan on the side of the highway, and were last seen traveling eastbound on I-10, the CHP reported.
