Los Angeles Police Commission Boosts Budget by $119 Million

The Los Angeles Police Commission approved a $119 million budget increase on Nov. 22 for the 2023–2024 fiscal year, adding to its current $3.15 billion budget.

The proposed budget—which would bring the department’s general fund to $2 billion—will be sent to the mayor and city council for approval.
