The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will vote on April 1 on overhauling its homeless spending.

Announced on March 13 and advanced by Supervisors Lindsey Horvath and Kathryn Barger, the motion, if passed, would establish a new department to deal with homelessness services in an attempt to streamline the work previously done by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), an agency that the city and county are responsible for overseeing.
