An American hospitality tycoon gave away nearly his entire fortune to a Southern Californian not for profit organization when he died on September 19.

The late Hilton Hotels Chairman Barron Hilton, who died of natural causes at 91, transferred 97 percent of his wealth to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation based in Westlake Village, 38 miles west of downtown LA. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Conrad Hilton, who also donated 97 percent of his wealth to the foundation.
