BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.—What police described as a “large rally” was underway Nov. 5 afternoon in Beverly Hills in solidarity with Iranians protesting the death of a woman who refused to wear a hijab and died in the custody of Iran’s morality police.
About 4 p.m., police reported the rally was expected to cause traffic delays in the area of Rodeo and Beverly drives. They reported about 4:30 p.m. that the rally was in the area of Crescent Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard and that the 400 block of Crescent was closed.
