LOS ANGELES—Police said on Sept. 19 that their investigation into the deaths of two models who were found in their downtown Los Angeles apartments has so far resulted in “no evidence to suggest that the deaths ... are related to one another.”

Maleesa Mooney, 31, was found dead in her apartment in the 200 block of South Figueroa Street at around 3:55 p.m. on Sept. 12. Police said she had been killed, but described her cause of death only as unknown pending an autopsy. Ms. Mooney’s cause of death has been listed by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as “deferred.”
