The Los Angeles City Council is left with an impending decision regarding Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas’s vacancy following his recent suspension.
The council president can either appoint a replacement to temporarily fill the position, or the city council can vote for an appointment, according to LA City Clerk Holly Wolcott.
