Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has launched a new political action committee (PAC) to solicit donations to elect Democratic candidates to public offices.

The PAC is named “Fight for the People” and is a restructured version of Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign, whose data it will use to court donations from progressives and Democrats across the United States to support candidates. The PAC’s announcement suggests that it will seek to spend money, likely millions of dollars, in support of these candidates during elections in 2026, when nearly 500 seats in the U.S. Congress and thousands of state offices across the country will hold elections on Nov. 3.
