A deputy from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle—that was missing its front license—at the intersection of El Toro Road and Bridger Road around 9:30 p.m. and determined there was possible drug activity, Sgt. Mike Woodruff from the Sheriff’s Department told The Epoch Times.
As a result, a canine named Mac was called out to assist with a narcotics sniff—which alerted to a hidden area on the passenger side.
Two large packages of suspected heroin and fentanyl were found in the hidden compartment.
The driver was arrested on multiple felony charges. His identity was not immediately available from the District Attorney’s office.
