Johnson Invites Trump to Deliver First State of the Union of Second Term on Feb. 24

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Jan. 7 formally invited President Donald Trump to deliver a State of the Union address to Congress.

“It is my distinct honor and great privilege to invite President Trump to deliver the State of the Union on February 24, 2026,” Johnson wrote in a post on X.
