NEWBURGH, N.Y.—A private jet that blew two tires during takeoff at a small New Jersey airport on Tuesday made a safe emergency landing hours later at an airport in New York.
Fans of rapper Post Malone had gathered at New York Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, about 70 miles (112 kilometers) north of New York City, after hearing he was on board, and they cheered when the plane landed just before 4 p.m. There was no confirmation that he was on the plane.
