A maintenance worker at the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office has been arrested for allegedly aiding the brazen escape of 10 inmates from the Orleans Justice Center this past week, six of whom remain at large.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced on May 20 that Sterling Williams, 33, was taken into custody without incident and faces 10 counts of Principal to Simple Escape and one count of Malfeasance in Office, stemming from his role in the May 16 breakout.
