Federal officials have announced the arrest of an illegal immigrant identified as Anmol Anmol, who was allegedly operating an 18-wheeler while holding a New York commercial driver’s license issued under the designation “No Name Given Anmol.”

Anmol, an Indian national who entered the United States illegally in 2023, was arrested during a routine inspection at a truck scale on the I-40 in late September, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Oct. 10. His arrest comes amid heightened federal efforts to remove illegal immigrants operating heavy commercial vehicles—a public safety risk DHS officials say urgently needs to be addressed.
