WASHINGTON—The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution on Nov. 21 denouncing the “horrors of socialism.”
The tally was 285–98 with two voting “present.” There were 86 Democrats who joined all Republicans to vote in favor of the resolution, which was introduced by Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.), a daughter of Cuban immigrants who fled the communist regime of Fidel Castro. There were 63 cosponsors.
