Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) defended his oversight of the passage of the Ukraine aid package, stating it was in accordance with the “will” of the House and insisting that “history will judge it well.”

The House of Representatives passed a $95 billion package on Saturday that provides foreign aid to Ukraine, Israel, and other U.S. allies. The measure was passed 311-112 despite vehement opposition from certain Republicans. The bill now heads to the Democrat-controlled Senate where it is expected to pass easily.
