A federal judge on May 23 issued an injunction to block a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) directive that revoked Harvard University’s ability to enroll foreign students.

The temporary block, issued by U.S. District Judge Allison Burroughs, came in response to a lawsuit filed by Harvard University earlier in the day. The Ivy League college had alleged that the DHS directive targeting it was an unconstitutional retaliation for defying the White House’s demands.
