WESTMINSTER, Calif.—A 68-year-old Garden Grove man bailed out of custody Nov. 20 on charges of fatally shooting a transient he got into a conflict with over the defendant’s pushcart.

Craig Sumer Elliot is charged with voluntary manslaughter with the personal use of a gun. He was arrested Nov. 17 on a warrant and posted $100,000 bail and was released Nov. 20, according to court records.
